Straight Curve is back again this year with their one-day event open to
filmmakers from all areas of the industry young and old.
Bigger and better then ever and this one-day event celebrates British
Filmmaking and the filmmakers of the future.

Experience the highs and lows of filmmaking with an honest and sometimes
hilarious look at what really goes on in the film industry.
Taster workshops are also on offer during the day exploring Scriptwriting,
Make up, Sound recording, equipment hire and film insurance.
The day will finish off with a networking event so bring you business cards
with you.
Based at Bromley Central Library, High St, Bromley from 9.30 to 4.30
(registration from 9.15) nearest train stations are Bromley South and
Bromley North.
Entry is £10 for main hall and networking and each workshop is £2 each and
must be booked in advance

Discover how to make and release your feature when you have no money with
Johannes Roberts
Straight Curve introduce a unique one day seminar for producers, writers,
directors and anyone interested in making and releasing a movie.
Johannes Roberts has made five features that have been released in over 55
countries through all of the major studios and has worked with Jeff Fahey,
Sean Pertwee, Tom Savini and Chris Barrie to name a few. He made his first
feature for less then 5K and sold it worldwide.
This one day seminar aims to show up and coming producers, writers and
directors how to get their film made and released when you have no money.
Johannes will take you through:
- Sales agents, buyers and the Cannes film market.
- The script, concepts that will sell, locations and things to avoid.
- Financing your film, various ways to finance a low budget movie.
- The Cast and Crew, how to assemble your cast and crew, which formats to
shoot on, how to blag favours.
- Post production, Editing and quality control.
- Selling the film, posters, agents, trailers and cinema screenings.
Johannes is one of the most entertaining and funny speakers we have seen and
you will not only learn lots of useful information but your day will be very
entertaining as well.
Based in central Bromley which is very easy to reach from Central London the
seminar will start at 10am and finish at 4.30pm on Saturday 31st May.

Film Sound Recording Seminar DEVA & CANTAR Hard Drive machines
OurTime Pictures will be holding a seminar on the two prominent Location Sound Hard Drive
Recording devices, The DEVA & The CANTAR - Hard drive, multi track, digital Sound Recorders.
The seminar will be presented by two Film Location Sound Mixers, members of
AMPS (The Association Of Motion Picture Sound).
