Introduction

I have over 6 years experience working for 2 of the leading CG companies within the automotive sector.

I would describe myself as a passionate and dedicated artist with a keen eye for detail. I find it easy to become immersed in my work and I aspire to further my abilities with every piece I create. I like to be faced with challenges and enjoy working with others to reach a common goal. I am used to being under pressure and feel some of my best work was produced under a tight deadline. I continually try to acquire new skills and learn new techniques. I feel my background of traditional art and technical illustration has been somewhat helpful in my area of expertise.

I consider myself to be a 3D generalist though I would say my particular strengths lie in animating, shader creation, lighting and compositing. I would hope to think my knowledge in other areas of the production pipeline have proven to strengthen these particular skills.

In my own time I also enjoy photography, particularly landscapes and skies, life drawing, sketching and concept art. One of my current pass times is matte painting.

I have worked on freelance projects.

At Lancaster University I had a role teaching lightwave to students for a short period.

Academic Qualifications

I graduated from Blackpool and the Fylde College with a First-Class Honours degree in Technical & Information Illustration, and received an award for best student.
