Introduction

With more than 15 years of experience on feature films, CG animation and commercial visual FX, a strong familiarity with some of the major animation, compositing and rendering packages (i.e Softimage XSI, MentalRay, Shake, Combustion, 3dsmax), today I have the ability to work with all levels of creative, technical and production management.

In the past 4 years I have developed a specific experience in mentoring and management of teams of people: working as a liaison among departments, attending weekly meetings with Story/Animation/Technical Leads and Supervisors to manage the technical and creative requirements for the film, overseeing specific issues that may affect the production pipeline and the story, ensuring that the highest quality is being achieved within schedule.
I work closely with the R&D staff to determine the most valuable use of development with regards to the production process and I help determine resource requirements and their distribution.

On last year I'd the occasion to work on tree of the most important projects in London, side by side to professional people I can share my experiences.

The post production work was quite complex: we had to reconstruct the face skin – where eleven marker had been previously positioned to create the effects – then compose and finalize it. The video, 4 min. 22 sec. length, was realised with a mixed technique, using Shake for face reconstruction, Smoke, Flame and Inferno for compositing and finalization, for a total amount of about 6.000 frames.

Many Sea on background was created with Arete software and Metal Ray render, 3D tracking using 3Dequalizer to match the real Camera with the fake 3D Cameras, and I add some Smokes, Fogs and Elements on Ships sequences.
